I found this on YOutube and responded to it. Tell me what you guys think. From my perspective music can be understood by the human "soul"; not to poke at religion... after all the human soul is not religious... People use the term religiously; as my psych instructor said the psyche or soul is our mind/cognitive processes, emotional experiences and history combined to make "us" who we are in a broader sense. If that makes any sense; anyway ill stop babbling... The Youtube comments are below...

The best thing about music is that it is open for interpretation. A good song can be determined differently by dozens of people. This song could mean the love between two people, always sticking around each other and helping them through thick and thin. It can also mean how God is always beside you, and will never leave you. There are other variations you could think of for these lyrics. So everyone, enjoy the music, and talk about it as you wish. Just do so knowing that a song can mean anything

Very true. Some of the very best songs have multiple messages and the artists even say that in interviews when they do the music. Sometimes they just write what the feel;; especially if they write their own music... Some who dont work with the composer to write something meaningful. The good thing about it though is that music crosses all geographical and political barriers; everyone can understand music.
